The Murder of Ahmaud Arbery

On February 23 2020, Ahmaud Arbery. a 25-year-old young man, was jogging through the Satilla Shores neighbourhood, Brunswick, Glynn County, GA, when he was accosted by Gregory McMichael and his son, Travis McMichael and then brutally murdered.

The entire incident was recorded by a possible accomplice.

The McMichael's claimed that they were making a citizen's arrest because they believed that Ahmaud was involved in a burglary.

The problem with this useless story is that the video, which was apparently recorded by the killers to revel in their unjust kill, did not match the lie.

The video very clearly shows that Ahmaud was jogging, not even running, through the neighbourhood; these men were laying in wait for him, on the ready, to attack and murder him.

The police did nothing about it even though the killer had Ahmaud's blood on his hands; the police let the killers go because of the relationship they had with them.

Fast-forward to two months later, someone leaked the video and now we are here.

Why is this country hell bent on ignoring the rights of black people? Why is there such a disparity in the way black people are treated as compared to their white counterparts?

Should black people have to wear body cams to ensure that they are not unjustly murdered then forgotten about?

Where is the justice?

What we know is that several district attorney's have recused themselves from the case because they have one relationship or another with the McMichaels.

The saddest part of this whole thing is, had it not been for the leaked video, Ahmaud would be in the ground and forgotten.

Of course, there was an uproar after people watched the video and then and only then was there a decision made to convene a grand jury which led to the arrest of the McMichaels, a good two months after.

Well, that is all well and good; however, until these murderers are tried and convicted, a loud noise must continue to be made!!!
